Journal prompt – finding purpose in words

Why do you blog?

My blog has shape shifted over the years, and although it’s not as defined and full as I had hoped, I continue keeping it afloat.

Originally I started writing during covid as I was learning more for my occupational therapy career that I had just started months before everything shut down in the pandemic. It became a way for me to process what I was learning and share it with the community although I wasn’t working.

I slowly began to discover how much I actually liked writing and felt proud to hear people enjoying reading what I had to share.

When I went back to work eventually, my writing became less frequent and less intensely information driven and I added more personal blog posts to share my journey and experiences too. All of these more personal blogs became a collection of experiences with always an undertone of some sort of purpose related to my career, mental health and well-being.

Today my blog is a collection of who I am with the hopes that someone will come across a post and find either personal benefit in feeling less alone or gaining skills they can use in their live, or professional learning and connection.

I’ve added some links to various posts below and I hope whoever stumbles across my blog finds a bit of sunshine coming their way 🙂
