About Me

My name is Kristina. I am a daughter, a sister, a cat mom, and have a wonderful wife Sydney. I’m an Occupational therapist that works with kids, teens and adults with variety of different abilities in nature! I also consider myself a community connector – I believe in seeing all people’s strengths, and connecting them with the people they need to meet to help them grow outside of their relationship with me. This has been a huge part of my passion in being a preceptor and mentor for students studying to be Occupational therapists, Occupational therapy assistants and Personal support workers (and more). I’ve always been the person people go to for a listening ear, for a shoulder to lean on. I believe that everyone has the right to be met with compassion and empathy, and should be celebrated for the individual gifts they bring to the world. I believe in the importance of community, engagement in activities that bring you joy, passion, excitement and meaning, and treating everyone with respect and kindness.

As an occupational therapist, I work from an evidence based practice which means I love reading and learning, and I love sharing what I learn with people around me. From being raised by a family of teachers, I find myself always drawn to teaching and sharing information – which I think is more important these days than ever. Through my writing, I hope to do my best to be educational, passionate, to bring a little sunshine to your day, and to empower you to be your own sunshine in your life. xo
