My path to Occupational Therapy

As an Occupational Therapist, one part of my job I absolutely love is being able to connect with future OT’s through being a fieldwork preceptor and supporting their journey to becoming Occupational Therapists. I absolutely adore taking time to discuss their passions, goals and stresses around school and the field and I love being able to provide guidance and validation throughout their schooling and their placement with me!

This connection with students has inspired me to continue to explore ways to meet future OT’s where they are at, in whatever capacity possible, in order to support their learning, growth and confidence in the field. A while ago I started a Youtube channel without much idea of what I would be creating, but I knew I wanted it to have some sort of purpose. I also knew that I didn’t want it to be too niche as I don’t have that kind of attention and I would like to share my passions as wide as possible. SO I have finally started creating some videos!

My first video (I have posted Youtube shorts previously but this is my first long video in a while), is me talking briefly about my journey to becoming an OT, with the intention that it will hopefully kick start my OT based channel and how I can better support future OT’s!

That being said, this is a short blog post just to share the link to this video for readers to see and share, and if you are interested in videos about anything else OT related please let me know!
