ABCs of Occupational Therapy 🤍

As I get further into my career as an Occupational Therapist (OT), I find myself interested in different areas of practice and how we can better help our clients. I have been able to explore various areas of practice through my schooling and work experience, and it is always so eye opening as to how wide our scope is. I have many friends still from my Masters’ program who I connect with frequently, and it is amazing to see how different our jobs are day to day!

So, in honour of all the different things I have been learning lately and all the different areas of practice that are out there, I thought I would challenge myself to write an ABC’s of Occupational Therapy.

We shall see how this pans out, but my GOAL right now is to write one blog post for every letter of the alphabet, to try to open up the world of Occupational therapy and provide an area for discussion ! I am working many jobs and trying to maintain that always preached but hardly practiced miracle of work life balance…. so it may take me a while to complete this challenge, but I’ll get there! As I post a blog that fits with the letters I will attach the link below so you can come back to this page to follow along! If you have any ideas for one of the letters please let me know as I will probably need to do some research to find something for each one!

I am in the progress of final assessment reports for my placement students as I write this introduction on March 18 2023, so I may be a bit slow posting the first one but TO BE CONTINUED!
